The NYSASWM Christiansen-Roller-White-Miles Founders’ Scholarship application form.

The application  must be postmarked on or before the last day of February of each year.

Awards are made through the recommendation of the Scholarship Review Committee, usually in $500 increments; while the maximum of a single award is set at $5,000.

Typed statement (100 words or less) describing your extracurricular activities, sports, tutoring of other students, social welfare work and other similar volunteer activities, including any part time work experience with what type of work and how many hours per week. Include any honors received in any of the above-mentioned categories. Include any course work or experience in the solid waste field (if any). Also, briefly state your financial need – tuition expenses, other scholarships, and loans.
Typed statement (approximately 250 words) describing the elements in your college or university courses or contacts with the solid waste management field which have led you to consider a career in environmental science, engineering or the solid waste field. Give reasons why you feel that you are capable of contributing to the advancement of the field in which you are interested.
