ULSTER COUNTY – is searching for a
Director of Operations and Safety. The Ulster County Resource
Recovery Agency is a public authority of the State of New York
providing solid waste management and recycled materials services
in Ulster County, New York. The Agency employs approximately
40 persons and operates and maintains two permitted transfer
stations, a materials recovery facility, a vehicle maintenance
facility, diesel pumping station and headquarters building.
The Agency also maintains 3 closed landfills and services several
municipal drop off centers.
The Agency is currently seeking to enhance the efficiency of
its operations with an experienced Director of Operations and
Safety to join its team. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s
degree in environmental science, or related field, five or more
years experience in managing a solid waste facility or other
service facility.
